Start of the 2023 tournament season
Leonie started this year's tournament season with two gold and one silver ribbon. Leonie and TARA OLD (by Tomahawk - Hotline) were able to end their first joint start in an advanced level dressage test in Buchholz with a win.
Leonie then won the Intermediaire II with 71.83% on our homebred CRICKET BD (by Charmeur - Don Frederico). The day after, Leonie and Cricket unfortunately had a disagreement as soon as they were broken in, which ultimately turned out to be "expensive". Nevertheless, the rest of the test was very nice, so that the two took second place in the Kurt Grand Prix, just beaten.
Dr. Timm Ohnweiler into the season. On his QUEEN CUTE (by Quindale - Damsey) he won the novice level dressage horse class in Weinsberg.
SPLOTCH BD on Stud Letter Berg
Since the end of February, our black stallion SPLOTCH BD (by Secret - Follow Me) has been available to breeders via the Letter Berg stud farm in Coesfeld. We are very pleased that the stallion will continue to be trained there by Stephanie Leuenberger until he returns to Leonie's hands at the end of the breeding season.
SPLOTCH BD is recognized by the Hanover and Oldenburg breeding associations, was reserve winner of his ability test in Schlieckau, was victorious in riding horse ability tests with a score of 8.7 and comes from an excellent dam line, from which over 40 licensed stallions as well as many nationally and internationally successful S to Grand Prix horses come.
With us for three months: Gina Smith
Leonie and Gina have known each other for over 45 years and have experienced many successful years in Johann Hinnemann's stable. Gina herself competed three times for the Canadian team at the Olympic Games and was able to win the bronze medal with the team.
